The Bend in the Road, Paul Cezanne, 1900/1906

Hello and welcome…

My name is Gemma, and I am an accredited Integrative Arts Psychotherapist. I specialise in working with those who find themselves at a moment of transition, where the person they’ve been or the way they've learned to cope no longer seems to align with who they are today.

Perhaps you too sense that something is changing, but fear, uncertainty, or self-doubt is making it difficult to know what comes next. Therapy offers you a space to pause, reflect, and make sense of these experiences, so you can move forward in a way that feels more connected to who you are and who you are becoming.

About me

My approach

I have worked with people facing extraordinary and challenging circumstances, each bringing their own story, strengths, and struggles. Through metaphor and creativity, alongside deep conversation, we create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your past and present, reconnect with yourself, find your inner wisdom and begin to move towards a life that feels more aligned with who you are.

My experience

I have worked across the NHS, the third sector, and private practice, where I now see clients in person in Central London (Old Street) and online.

Over the years, I have supported people through grief and loss, trauma, questions around identity and belonging, neurodivergence, existential concerns, relationship difficulties, and significant life transitions. I also work with people who want to better understand themselves and the patterns that shape their lives.

Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I have worked with families for over 15 years and understand the complexities of family life, particularly in a fast-paced city where the pressures can often feel relentless.

If you're navigating a life transition, questioning your sense of identity, or feeling that something in your life no longer fits, I'd be happy to hear from you. Get in touch to arrange an initial consultation and see whether working together feels like the right fit.

Qualifications

I hold an MA in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy from the Institute of Arts for Therapy and Education and the University of East London. I am an accredited member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), one of the professional bodies that regulate mental health professionals in the UK and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). I work in line with the professional and ethical standards set by the HCPC and BAAT.
